Dr. Barbara Davis

Dr. Barbara Davis is an Assistant Professor in the School of Religion at Bethune Cookman University. Dr.Davis has over twenty-five years of senior leadership experience in the area of Christian Ministry and Discipleship Ministry. Her research includes using assessment tools to help believers to find their God-given “place” in ministry.

Dr. Davis has served in Christian ministry as an international missionary. She has traveled to over forty countries doing Christian missions and humanitarian service. In 2009, God led Dr. Davis to start a project in Egypt called” Project Destiny”. Project Destiny continues to flourish with three full-time staff and three part-time staff.

Dr. Davis has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation Board for Bowie State University; Board member of the Woodstream Recreational Association; Founder and Chairperson of the Interfaith Council of the United States for Sierra Leone; former Maryland State Coordinator for Sister Cities International; past president of the Prince George’s County Maryland Senegal Sister Cities; and Vice President of the Prince George’s County Committee on Academic Achievement.

Dr. Davis served as the “Guest Lecturer for the Summer Lecture Series. She lectured on “Heaven”; “Embracing Today”; “Finding Your Place in Ministry”; and “Living the Supernatural Life”.

Dr. Davis encourages her students to “Embrace Today” and watch and see what God will do in their lives.
