Academic Merit Award (Enrolled Students)

The applican't cumulative GPA and financial need determine award amount. Students must enroll full-time. The Academic Merit Award is granted on an annual basis. Students must reapply annually.

To qualify, candidates must meet these minimal academic criteria:

  • Cumulative GPA: 3.25 (No grades of F, I, NR) on 24 Earned University Credit Hours

Funding is limited. All scholarships are competitive and are awarded on a first come first serve basis.

 The following is a list of required items and deadlines you must submit the items by:

 Once your acceptance packet is received, you must submit:

  1. Pay the required $300 (non-refundable) Enrollment Fee by February 20, 2017 by contacting the Cashiers Office.
  2. Complete and submit your FAFSA by March 24, 2017
A complete FAFSA includes:
  1. Apply for your Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID at (
  2. Apply for financial aid at ( by March 24th. Selecting the IRS Data Retrieval Tool speeds up the completion of the FAFSA.
  3. If selected, submission of all verification documents by March 24th. Forms can be completed on Dynamic Forms.
  4. Register and attend one of the new student orientation sessions.  (The orientation schedule will be provided at a later date).

 Some residential facilities may require an additional fee not covered by the scholarship.
