The Passing of Mrs. B.J. "Mother" Moore
Dear University family, alumni and friends:
My heart is saddened to share with you the news of the passing of Mrs. B.J. "Mother” Moore, early this morning. Mother Moore has long been a dearly loved part of the Bethune-Cookman University family, as the spouse of late President Emeritus Richard V. Moore, as well as the mother-in-law of one of our beloved Trustees, Trustee Michael Johnson. Furthermore, she was a dear friend. We sat on the same pew every Sunday at church. Please join me in prayers for the Moore and Johnson families. Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.
"Fear though not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; year, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness… For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, fear not; I will help thee.” Isaiah 41:10, 13
May God continue to comfort and help this family in their time of need.
The entire Bethune-Cookman University family mourns with you during your time of loss.
