Check out the Marching Wildcats in a Monday Night Football Commercial on ESPN
During Monday's half-hour pre-game show at 8:29 p.m., in front of 40 million viewers, the 46 members of the B-CU Marching Wildcats' percussion section will be showing their Wildcat pride in an ESPN commercial promoting the game between the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots.
The band will be split evenly, half dressed in Dolphins gear, the other half dressed as Pats and doing what they do best – making music.
The commercial was filmed on the B-CU campus in the University's state-of-the-art band room, deemed by the production crew as a perfect site for a commercial shoot.
Among their long list of recent accomplishments, the band has been featured on the "Ellen Degeneres Show," the movie "Drumline," a national Cadillac commercial and Super Bowl and Pro Bowl halftime shows
"We consider ourselves blessed," said Band Director Donavan Wells from his office this week. "We are always ready and we always answer the phone. It's the kids that go out there and do a great job that draws a lot of attention."
In addition to the exciting commercial opportunity, the entire Marching Wildcats band will be performing in the Jacksonville Jaguars halftime show on Oct. 2 and then in the for the nationally-televised Monday Night Football game in Tampa Bay on Oct. 3.
