Bethune-Cookman University Brings Innovation to Institutional Research
B-CU Recognized for Best Institutional Research E-Fact Book from the Southern Association for Institutional Research
Most recently, B-CU won second place for the “Best Institutional Research E-Fact Book,” from the Southern Association for Institutional Research (SAIR). Colleges and universities across the country provide a fact book intended as a general source of information about the institution. In previous years, B-CU published a fact book that was provided in print copy for stakeholders, internally and externally that shared data related to students, programs, faculty and staff.
“We realized that this created an issue with the usability of the material contained in the book,” said Jennifer Dash, from the area of Research, Planning and Innovation (IE). “Therefore, the decision was made to publish a fully interactive electronic fact book, which meets the current demands of data on campus and improves the University’s visibility and image,” she added. Bethune-Cookman University is among approximately 300 plus members of the Southern Association for Institutional Researchers (SAIR) . Every year SAIR hosts the Institutional Researchers conference and presents awards in various categories to include: Best Institutional Research Website, Best E-Fact Book, Best Printed Fact Book, etc. This year, Institutional Effectiveness submitted the link for the Electronic Fact Book and won second place in the E-Fact Book category.
