Bethune-Cookman University's Inaugural 'Lift Every Voice And Sing' Concert

Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
Psalm 105:1-5 KJV
On behalf of the Bethune-Cookman University Board of Trustees and the Interim President, Dr. Hubert L. Grimes, we cordially invite you to a gospel showcase at the Gertrude Hotchkiss Heyn Memorial Chapel on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 4:00 P.M.  Please join Bethune-Cookman University in celebrating hymns and spirituals featuring local church and public school choirs. Our special guest for the evening is hymnologist Mr. Carlton Burgess of Tampa, Florida. Local psalmist, Mrs. Constance Poitier will be accompanied by the Daytona Beach Community Choir.
We are excited to showcase this talent during Black History Month as a way to honor the ancestors with praise and worship. Our prayer is that the body of believers in Daytona Beach and surrounding areas will come together to worship our Lord Jesus Christ.
The event is free, but seating is limited. We look forward to your attendance.
If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Kathy Desmore-Reeves at
