Bethune-Cookman University’s Online College Receives Top Ranking and Obtains USDLA Recertification

online Ranks B-CU 3rd in National Ranking; University Remains the Only Florida School with USDLA Certification has ranked Bethune-Cookman University the 3rd top choice out of 65 accredited Methodist colleges or universities in the nation. B-CU’s Online College was recently recertified as a United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) program. The B-CU Online College is the first program in the State of Florida and the second HBCU in the nation to be certified. The B-CU Online College currently offers eleven (11) degree programs, including three masters and eight bachelors. “We want to make sure that our online college continues to provide a positive experience for our faculty and students,” says Dr. Arletha McSwain, Dean of The Online College. “Receiving USDLA recertification has once again set a higher standard for where our online programs are headed,” she added. Since 2015, the B-CU Online College has cultivated over 60 undergraduate students and matriculated 80 graduate students to date.

Additionally, B-CU ranks 48th among all 112 colleges and universities in Florida. B-CU has work closely with the USDLA to maintain the quality of the online programs to ensure that excellence is carried throughout our second certification term. B-CU is proud of the progress the online college, several new programs and accreditations that the university has received.
