September 25, 2007: Bb Page Loading Technical Support
Some Blackboard users have experienced trouble with pages loading completely. In some cases, the user has clicked on the page before allowing it to load completely, thereby halting the loading process prematurely. When this is not identified as the problem (as is sometimes the case when the user is off the B-CU campus), then this solution may work.
Note: These instructions apply to users accessing Blackboard with the Internet Explorer 6 Web browser. Instructions for other browsers will vary. For additional support, contact the Office of Academic Computing at acadcomp@cookman.edu, 386-481-2072 (on-campus ext. 2072).

September 10, 2007: Please check your computer settings for optimal use of Blackboard
Technical Requirements for Blackboard Academic Suite 7.2 Ensure that your computer meets following technical requirements for an optimal experience using Blackboard.
1. Use the following combination of operating system and Web browser:
2. Allow pop-ups in your browser. Turn off any pop-up blockers on toolbars (Yahoo, Google, etc.) and in your Web browser settings (Internet Explorer: Tools > Pop-Up Blocker > Turn Off Pop-Up Blocker).
4. Allow system cookies (packets of information that enable Bb to function correctly) in your Web browser. Adjust cookies to a Medium or lower level in your Web browser privacy settings.
5. Your instructor may require special plug-ins to view documents and media, including Acrobat Adobe PDF Reader, Quicktime, PowerPoint Reader, Flash Player, Shockwave Player, Real Player, Windows Media Player, etc. They will notify you if special plug-ins are required.

FRIDAY, AUG 31st: IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE Bb EMAIL TOOL
We are currently experiencing problems using the Email Tool in Blackboard. This problem is being worked on and will hopefully be resolved today. Please refrain from using the Email Tool at this time. If you need to send emails, please do so directly from your B-CU Webmail account.
This is a friendly reminder to please check the accuracy of your B-CU email address in Blackboard. You may check your email address in the Personal Information > Edit Personal Information section of Blackboard, accessible from the My Institution page or from the Student Tools area of any course.
Please note that all faculty, students, and staff must use a valid B-CU email account address in Blackboard. No other email accounts are allowed.
