Bethune-Cookman University seeks to enroll students who have demonstrated a sincere desire to further their intellectual and social development. Such development should be consistent with a quest for excellence, understanding, and a sense of responsibility to themselves, their colleagues, and the community.
The university requires all freshmen to reside on campus unless they qualify for off-campus housing. The Admissions Committee, therefore, gives careful consideration to evidence of desired character and personality as well as to ability and eagerness to achieve a university education.
The university operates on a two-semester plan with an additional seven week summer session. Qualified applicants may register at the beginning of any term.
