ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
• Launched first master’s degree program – Master of Science in Transformative Leadership;
• Achieved University status;
• Created accelerated Business Administration degree program;
• Expanded online distance learning programs.
FINANCIAL STABILITY
• Increased endowment from $25 million in 2004 to $44 million in 2007;
• Strengthened internal controls and improved overall cash flow;
• Increased operating budget;
• Eliminated 2004 deficit of $200,000 at the Performing Arts Center;
• Instituted new accountability standards for Florida Classic;
• Increased alumni giving by 32%, exceeding goal of $525,000 for FY2006.
STUDENT RECRUITING
• Achieved record-breaking enrollment: 3,400 students in 2007 up from 2,800 in 2004;
• Created Freshman College program to improve student retention; Sophomore College is in development, to be launched Fall 2008.
CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS
• Purchased and renovated building to house B-CU School of Nursing. New building allows for increased enrollment and features technology-equipped classrooms and a community health clinic;
• Constructed new civic engagement community center that includes President’s banquet room, conference center, student lounge and fitness center.
• Opened two Scholarship House student residences. .
• Provided the National Alumni Association with a University-owned house for association business;
• Raised over $3.47 million for $7 million Athletic Training Center facility.
TECHNOLOGY UPGRADES
• Unveiled new University website in July 2006;
• Upgraded network infrastructure and expanded wireless network;
• Strengthened campus technology security.
