Testimonials from Students

"Being in Hospitality Management has been an amazing experience. I have been able to experience different sectors of hospitality. I never knew that sports are included in the Hospitality field. I can't wait to gain more knowledge and experience with this industry.”

"My experience in the hospitality program has been nothing but amazing since I got here in 2016. The professors go above and beyond to make sure you understand everything that's required and they're always available when needed. Through the program, I was granted endless opportunities, such as receiving scholarships, opportunities to attend different conferences and tours. Through the program Coordinator Ms. Arlene Garrick, I received numerous internships opportunities such as my first step into the Rooms Division sector at The Daytona Autograph Collection. Since I have been in this program I've been involved in The E-board for the National Society for Minorities in Hospitality and participated in countless community service. I also love this school because it’s small and it’s mostly hands-on experiences and the advisors are like parents away from home for me and they can relate because most of them are from the islands. "Bob Billingslea School of Hospitality Management has created a welcoming environment for me within the last three and a half years. Transitioning from the medical field to Hospitality Management has by far been the best decision I've made for my future. I was able to build a family away from home. My professors are like my second mothers. They make me feel at home and they have definitely helped to mold me into the woman I am today. The love I have for Hospitality is like no other. I've gained three internship experiences and multiple scholarship opportunities such as the AHLEF scholarship. We've had a plethora of volunteering opportunities within Volusia County and other major cities such as Miami Beach, FL where we were able to be a part of the 2020 Super Bowl experience. Hospitality Management definitely introduce you to major opportunities if you are willing to take a leap of faith and trust the guidance You will be provided with by the wonderful faculty of the Bob Billingslea School of Hospitality Management"
