Bethune-Cookman University grad, Roderick Zeigler, believes that “laugher is good medicine”. Mr. Zeigler, known nationally as Rod-Z, is an Orlando, Florida native and an all-around performer.

While attending B-CU, Rod-Z studied mass communications and honed in on his comedic talents by performing at countless club and organizational events.

Within his professional career as a comedian, he has had the opportunity to open up for comics like: D.L. Hughley, Paul Rodriguez, Cedric The Entertainer, Sheryl Underwood, Sommore, Rickey Smiley, Arnez J. and J Anthony Brown. He has also appeared as an opening act for The Temptations, The O-Jays, Fred Hammond, and Mary Mary.

Rod-Z also works as a mentor and an active member for his home church and his fraternity, Omega Psi Phi.

In addition to these endeavors, he has hosted the “Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl Parade” on ABC, “The Battle” on ESPNU and has made four appearances on BET’s “Comic View”.

Two of his favorite accomplishments in life have come in the form of his live tapings of his now popular brand of clean but razor sharp comedy. His first project was “Stop Me IF I’m Lying” which was followed up by “I Ain’t Lied Yet”.

Through all his success, Rod-Z gives all the credit to the Lord.
