Celebrating Heritage & Reopening Traditions

In the latest edition of the Wildcat Report, the campus and community came together in a joyous celebration of Black history on February 21, marking our first major in-person observance since before the start of COVID-19. North Carolina A&T State University’s Henry E. Frye Distinguished Professor of History and the Director of the Center of Excellence for Social Justice, Dr. Jelani Favors, delivered empassioned remarks celebrating and honoring the rich legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and their contributions to the American tapestry.

Just days before, Cub Paradise, the fine dining restaurant owned and operated by students in the College of Business and Entrepreneurship, celebrated its grand re-opening. Members of the local Daytona Beach community gathered to feast on delights of the cajun Mardi Gras themed menu and celebrate the extraordinary talent of the students in the Hospitality and Management Systems program.
