Applicant Must:

  • Fully admitted to the MS program in Integrated Environmental Science at B-CU (by the time to be considered for the NOAA-CCME II scholarship).
  • Have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.
  • Be enrolled full-time (12+ credits for undergrads and 9+ for grads) in one of the STEM majors (preferred) at B-CU.
  • Be a citizen of the United States, national of the United States (as defined in section 101(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act), alien admitted as refugee under section 207 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, or alien lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence.
  • Agree to participate fully in the NOAA-CCME II cohort activities.

Students selected as NOAA-CCME II scholarship recipients must agree to participate in NOAA-CCME II program activities and respond to any survey administered during the program and post-graduation. Students will be required to read and sign the Letter of Understanding (LoU) which will serve as a contract and agreement. Once your LoU is signed by the PI and your employment status is cleared through B-CU Human Resources, you will receive an award letter.

To continue in the program, a student must:

  • maintain full-time status at B-CU
  • maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
  • actively participate in the NOAA-CCME II program activities.
  • actively participation in research with your faculty mentor >10 hours a week.
