At Bethune-Cookman, you’ll get support, personal attention, great teaching and all you need to develop a vision for your future, and to turn that vision into reality. More than 100 years old, Bethune-Cookman has a rich history but has always been future-oriented – changing lives and changing the world.

A personalized experience

At Bethune-Cookman, you’ll be part of a close-knit academic community and you’ll find your place in it – with dozens of majors and more than 80 student groups to choose from. All with the HBCU experience, and all at a University that values you for who you are, sees you individually and meets you where you are in life. It’s about your future and how to get there.

A future focus, rooted in history

You’ll find that we draw inspiration from our founder, Mary McLeod Bethune. She was herself future-focused. Like students at her university, she was about setting a vision for the future and delivering the intelligence, entrepreneurial initiative and drive to make things happen. She never let up. And she succeeded. The first in her family not to be born into slavery, she not only founded a great university, she also rose to be a national leader and advisor to presidents. She was one of the most influential people of her time.

In that spirit, we are propelled forward by our history, we celebrate the excellence of today’s B-CU and we look to shape the future. Being part of all this is powerful. We invite you to explore our programs and consider becoming a B-CU Wildcat!
