Institutional Accreditation
Bethune-Cookman University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the baccalaureate and master’s degrees. Bethune-Cookman University also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Note: The Commission should be contacted only if there is evidence that support B-CU's significant non-compliance with an accreditation standard or requirement. Inquiries relevant to University operations, such as admissions, registration, financial aid, academic and student support programs, etc., should be directed to the appropriate B-CU department.
B-CU was granted initial institutional accreditation by SACSCOC in 1947 and has continually received decennial reaffirmation since then. B-CU’s accreditation was last reaffirmed in 2022 and next decennial reaffirmation of accreditation is scheduled for 2030 including a Fifth-Year Interim Report (FYIR) required in March 2026.
