The School of Education offers bachelor’s Degrees in Elementary Education, Exceptional Student Education, Secondary Education (Biology, Business, English, Mathematics, Music, Social Science, and Physical Education.

The School has 9 programs approved by the Florida Department of Education, and 8 programs approved through the Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education Program.

Department of Elementary Education: B.S. Elementary Education
The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education is designed for students who plan to teach multiple subjects in grades K-6. Through a robust curriculum, you’ll learn and gain practical teaching experiences to prepare you fully for the school setting. This program is English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)- and Reading-endorsed.
Students who graduate from this program are fully certified.
Department of Secondary Education
The School of Education offers the following secondary majors: Biology (grades 6-12), Business (6-12), English (6-12), Mathematics (5-9), Music (K-12), Social Science (6-12), and Physical Education (K-12). Each of these majors develops your ability to be highly effective educators in public and private school settings. The School of Education prepares you not only the specific content area, but also in the theoretical and applied aspects of teaching content.
Dept of Exceptional Student Education - BS and M.Ed.
BS, Exceptional Student Education
The Bachelor of Science in Exceptional Student Education is designed for individuals who plan to teach students with varying exceptionalities in grades K-12. This program is English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Reading endorsed. Students who graduate from this program are fully certified.
M.Ed. Exceptional Student Education
The Master of Education in Exceptional Student Education program (M.Ed. ESE) is designed for teachers who already hold a professional teaching certificate. It enhances knowledge, skills and dispositions in the field of exceptional student education. The specialization tracks in this program are Pre-K Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
