University life can be stressful, but stress is a normal physical and psychological reaction to the pressure of everyday life. We understand the pressure can lead to frustration, irritability, sadness, or anger. If these emotions affect you simultaneously, or in excess, things might become too difficult to manage and lead to significant emotional distress. Just remember, you are not alone, we are here to help and support you.
BHRS provides short-term, emergent care to help solve problems that can affect your ability to respond to crises, manage your overall mental health, and cope effectively with the pressure of university life. Our services are confidential, trauma-informed, and comprehensive. Our mental health providers care and have varied treatment approaches, are well trained, ethical, and have various clinical interests.

Mission
BHRS provides comprehensive mental health services at Bethune-Cookman University within the Division of Student Health Services. Our mission is to promote the health and well-being of students affected by mental, behavioral, and substance use disorders through prevention, intervention, coordinated treatment, and supportive services.
