Summer Adventure in Theology and Leadership
July 15th – 23rd , 2023
EGG is an experience for rising high school juniors and seniors in exploring and sharing faith, getting a taste of college life and developing leadership skills—with fun-filled workshops on theology, Bible, vocations, art and more. The program encourages artistic expressions of faith, develops an awareness of diversity within the Christian community and connects faith and Scripture with real-life issues. EGG seeks to assist young people as they begin to live out their calling to serve God and the world. It prepares theologically minded and socially engaged youth as future leaders for the Church. EGG is funded by Bethune-Cookman University and a grant by the Lilly Endowment, Incorporated.
In 2023, EGG will be on-campus at Bethune-Cookman University with participants residing in the student dormitory. The program runs from July 15th -23rd , 2023 and participants must participate for the entire nine (9) days.

What it’s About
Theology
You will have four Theology sessions to practice thinking theologically about the world and your place in it.
Bible Study
Four sessions in Bible will help you connect your ideas and experiences to Scripture in an academic setting.
Vocation
You will have classroom opportunities as well as reflection time to explore your own God-given gifts and graces and to imagine ways to use these in different types of Christian ministry.
Leadership
You will work in small groups and learn leadership and communication skills as well as practice teambuilding exercises.
Community Service
Christian faith calls us to make a difference in our world and you will have several opportunities to put your faith into action.
The Arts
You are creative! Use your talents in music, art, speech, drama, or dance to help create a worship service designed and executed by EGG participants.
Worshipping Together
The EGG program begins and ends with a worship celebration but every day you will have time for prayer and praise.
Having Fun
You will have plenty of fun activities and free time throughout the program. An evening of a music concert and hanging out with new friends who share your interests and Christian faith will be provided all through this face to face experience.
